How can owning or searching for a home not be like that old house on the hill when you were a kid? You walk by it in the fading evening light; scary images race through your mind.  The ghosts of broken windows, the drip, drip of leaky faucets, the creak of loose floor boards igniting your flight or fight response. 

When I was a young the flight part always won and my legs pumped as fast as they could go to get me out of there.  And then when walking by that house the next morning all the fears were dispelled and I realize that there was really nothing to fear at all. 

Owning or buying a home does not need to be fearful if we understand the process, if we know what to do about leaky faucets and creaky floors. 

I’ve enjoyed writing my entire life and what better way to provide you with the real estate knowledge I’ve gained over the years.  In this blog, I hope to ease your fears by sharing key information regarding the owning and buying process (everything from searching to lenders to maintenance), personal stories, and perhaps get a chance to be creative too.  When the image of that house on the hill comes to mind, it won’t be so scary.
